family

When it comes to enclosure cards and stickers, the more the merrier! It is so frustrating to not have the just right card or sticker on hand when giving a baby or wedding gift, when heading to a birthday party, or when sending a meal to a friend or neighbor.  Here is an order from sweet family that should now be pretty well set.  One from the family, one from the kids together and each girl one of her own.  The stickers will also look pretty darn cute slapped on a binder or pencil box.  Cute, fun, handy.  I also included some kiddo flat notes that will be great used year around.  I love that mom let the kiddos decide on their own--shows such personality!  The last is a folded note for a business man. Don't forget the guys in your life when it comes to paper.  They have so many functions, trips, meals, rounds of golf, interviews, etc. All of which are made that much sweeter when followed up with a personal note on a stylish, personalized card.

catch up

It's been forever since I updated the blog, so here is a quick snapshot of a few recent projects. I also have about 4 or 5 projects I'm working on with customers now, so hopefully I'll do better about updating and maybe I'll get some pics from folks from events.  I love to show how the invite sets the tone for what is to come at some of these beautiful and fun parties!

Hickory Dickory Dock baby shower invite and matching folded thank you--the perfect gift from the hostesses.  This one was a challenge because of all the elements...nursery rhyme theme, around the clock shower, for couples AND the gender reveal.  Whew! We did it though!!!

Bridal shower invite and matching thank you notes for the bride to be.

These were all for end of the year teacher gifts.  3 teachers, 3 different team loyalties.  This is a flat note card and can be customized with any colors.

Auburn dotty

Bama Dotty

and even Florida dotty

Calling card with single initial.  This family has 3 children whose names all begin with E.  This works for everyone!

Back to school labels for Emma Grace.  2 sizes to label everything.

Return address labels.  Classy, clean and elegant.

Flat note from family.  Reminds me of a grosgain ribbon.  Lots of colors available.

Art-y Party!

So my shortcake turned SIX in April. (yes, that is MaryLarkin's nickname in case you ever wondered why shortcake stationery!)   Wow! I'm really not sure how that happened.  I think I only blinked once.  She loves to draw and paint--she also happens to be, in my completely unbiased opinion, uber-talented.  What better way to celebrate her spring birthday than with an outdoor, messy, gallery party.  I had so many things I wanted to do with this easy easy theme that it was hard to limit myself (and my poor family) to just a few things, but here is a short post showing the shortcake items and a little bit of how they were incorporated.
enjoy!

Invite front- glossy 4x8 stock

Thank you note.
I'm not always a fan of the fill in the blank notes, but for a kindergartener who can write it herself, I thought it was appropriate and a good lesson in gratitude for her too. She asked me many times why I gave her such a long name, ha!

These are 2 stickers I did.  The easel one is a 6" glossy circle, the six is a 1.5" circle.  I've included a few shots of how I used them as well.

centerpieces were paint cans, ribbon is held on by a six sticker.  I used balloon sticks to have inspirational art on the tables along with paint chips that had the easel happy birthday stickers on them.  The wind did blow them a few times, but it looked pretty dern cute when upright.

Birthday girl with her apron.  Each kid got one, but hers was a little more elaborate.

"paint yourself a drink" bar.  Waters and kool-aid singles. Yummm

the six sticker is stuck on a 2"circle scallop at the top of a wooden dowel.  Used these in centerpieces and all over.

There is not a great pic of the cake I made, but this shows a bit of it.   I made a huge white sheet cake to look like a paint palette.  The sign that you see the back of here was a paint chip with the happy birthday sticker mounted to it.  The cake is sitting on a big board that also has paint samples all around it.
I just couldn't resist posting this shot of my girl...utter joy.  What a moment.

I wish I had a shot of the finished art gallery.  We hung a line on the fence and all the paper things were hung between the famous works I had already clipped up and the canvases were lined up on the fence as well.  Good good day.
